Shareware, trialware, demos and commercial submissions will automatically be deleted and repeated attempts to submit shareware from the same source will ultimately result in that URL being banned permanently with no future option to submit freeware that may be offered from that source.
Important Notice To Authors
We have a stringent 3 tier submission process in place to safeguard ourselves and our readership. When you submit a product for listing on our site, heres what happens:
1. Your submission is automatically checked against our internal blacklist and if any of your URLs are found there your submission is discarded and we will not even get to see it.
2. If you dont exist in our ban list then your submission will be queued for one of our editors to review. All URLs on your submission form are then checked via McAfee SiteAdvisor and WOT (Web Of Trust). If your URLs pass this test then we will manually visit your URLs and check the quality ourselves. This means that if you submit a screensaver in the hope of simply getting your site listed and do not actually offer any useful software as such then chances are your listed will be rejected and your URL possibly banned.
3. If you pass the above 2 stages your submission is then virus, malware and spyware checked and finally submitted to our site. Your submission is periodically checked automatically for viruses, spyware and malware and if at some point your product is flagged as such you will be permanently removed and banned from our site, full stop.
We have seen many examples where although submissions have passed all the above checks we then find URLs within the submission form which bare no relevance on the submission itself. While we realise download URLs may be different from author URLs, its wise for authors to check which URLs they provide beforehand as many of the mass downloading sites will automatically be banned because they provide download links for many untrustworthy sites and by linking to them yourself you are guilty simply by association!.
It is also crucial that you check your PAD file before submitting it as incomplete PADs or PADs which have the wrong information will simply be deleted.

Given the above security precautions that are in place on our site, we hope your experience here is a pleasant and spam free one, although we would ask that if you find anything on our site which you consider inappropriate or untrustworthy that you contact us immediately using our contact form. Why is my site banned? - I can't submit my software to your site!
If you attempt to submit your software to us and find that your submission is automatically rejected, please do not contact us to complain because we will not respond. Instead, use the points above to check your own site or those sites that you link to and you will no doubt discover why you were banned from submitting software to us.
You can easily check your own site at http://www.siteadvisor.com or http://www.mywot.com. If you are 100% sure that your site is not listed on either in a negative way, you may contact us to let us know, but only in those circumstances. To avoid being banned on our site, do not attempt to sneak unrelated URL's into your PAD file or submission as this will only highten our suspicions and if we have to check 5 different URL's from your entry we may just decide it's not worth the risk!. Screensavers rarely make it onto our site and if yours does you are one of the fortunate ones as we know 99% of them are merely a method of promoting a site which usually has nothing to do with promoting or offering software.
We check many submissions each day and cannot guarantee time-scales. Please do not contact us after making your submission unless you had a problem. If our submission process told you it was successful then we know about it and will get round to it as soon as we can.
